Please note that the prerequisites below include course names and numbers from Arizona State University’s course catalog, taken by W. P. Carey undergraduate accountancy majors. Most students with an undergraduate accounting degree will satisfy these prerequisites. All prerequisites must be completed prior to entering the program. MACC and MTax Prerequisites Introductory Financial Accounting (ACC 231, 232, 261) Introductory Managerial Accounting (ACC 241, 242, 271) Intermediate Financial Accounting I (ACC 340) Intermediate Financial Accounting II (ACC 440) Managerial Accounting/Internal Reporting (ACC 350) Taxes and Business Decisions (ACC 430) Enterprise Process Analysis & Design (ACC 444) Principles of Auditing (ACC 450) Fundamentals of Finance (FIN 300) Business Law and Ethics for Managers (LES 305) Prerequisites must be taken at an accredited institution and completed with a grade of “C” or higher. Audit or pass/fail courses are not acceptable.
